SLV Private Placements works with private families across Miami-Dade County, including Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, South Beach, Pinecrest, Aventura, Bal Harbour and Doral. Each neighborhood has its own rhythm: high-rise families in Brickell often need flexible hours around demanding work schedules, while families in Pinecrest and Coral Gables more often look for long-term nannies who can drive to school, sports and after-school activities.
In Miami, household staff pay typically ranges from $18 to $35 per hour depending on experience, languages spoken, certifications, live-in or live-out arrangements and the number of children. Bilingual English–Spanish candidates are in high demand, and many of our families specifically request Spanish-speaking caregivers. Newborn specialists and nannies who travel with the family usually sit at the top of that range.
Because Miami-Dade is a busy, seasonal market, many families also travel between Miami, New York and abroad during the year. We screen for candidates who are legal to travel, comfortable with relocation periods, and able to adjust to changing schedules. Every candidate presented to a family has completed our registration, reference verification and background check process.
Live-in arrangements are common in larger homes in Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Key Biscayne and Miami Beach, and for families who split time between Miami and another city. We help you define private quarters, days off, hours and travel expectations up front so the arrangement works for everyone.
A live-in nanny lives in your home and usually works longer, more flexible hours; a live-out nanny commutes and works a set schedule.
Many do. We screen for candidates who are legal to travel domestically and internationally when travel is part of the role.
Live-in nannies are often paid weekly; Miami rates generally fall within the $18–$35 hourly range converted to a weekly salary, depending on hours and duties.
In 2026, a night nanny in Miami costs $30–$48 per hour, or $250–$480 per night. See our night nanny cost guide at /night-nanny-cost-miami-2026.
